Spiderman in Fulford
Whilst walking the dogs this morning an adult dressed as Spiderman ran past me. He said ” Morning. How are you ? Take care.
Later after picking up- the dogs shit I saw Spiderman again. This time he had removed the mask in order to use his mobile ‘phone. It transpires that he is running a marathon for charity; I forgot to ask which Charity.
Recently after the heroic efforts of Captain Tom( shame he wasn’t called Major Tom because he could have re recorded the David Bowie hit from the 1970’s), in raising countless millions for the NHS it seems to have initiated a spate of charitable acts and benefit concerts.Lady Gaga organised one, or said she did. The bit I saw of it consisted of people I have never heard of performing poorly executed stripped down versions of songs unknown to me and then being asked to make donations to a company to help with Covid 19.
What will happen to all of this money? Will Captain Tom’s money be used for buying PPE, new machinery or research into vaccines. For sure the NHS is short of cash but for celebrities like Lady Gaga, The Rolling Stones etc wouldn’t’t it be great if they popped round to the neighbours house to get some shopping or an over the garden fence chess game with simultaneous boards.
As for me perhaps I should wear my underpants on the outside of my trousers whilst walking the dogs and pick up the dog shit left by dog shit dodging owners.
